In late April, we Jaguars experienced the vibrant energy of our annual spring pep rally, planned by Ryan Healy and his Sports Leadership Class.
As the students made their way up to the field, the senior class stayed back for their grand entrance, the Senior Sprint. The bleachers buzzed with anticipation while the cheerleaders led the crowd.
The rally started off with the Students vs Teachers 4 x 100 Relay that ended in a major win for the students. Next was the class relay race. With seniors against freshman and juniors against sophomores, the final round between juniors and sophomores resulted in a surprising upset by the freshman.
Up next was the battle of the mascots! After the student vs teachers volleyball game, our very own jaguar mascot ran out when their favorite song came on. In a wild turn of events, another jaguar mascot appeared, challenging the first jaguar to a dance off.
As the crowd erupts with excitement, the second mascot was handed a promposal sign. As Brendan Kane (12) revealed himself to the crowd, his girlfriend Jacky Barahona (12) was overwhelmed by the amazing gesture and said yes!
As the pep rally went on, the final activity tasked the entire crowd to create paper airplanes coordinated to each class’s color. With various attempts to see who would go the furthest, the junior class came out on top. To end the spring pep rally, the jaguar spirit stick was awarded to none other than the Senior Class of 2024!
