Halal Guys (Dunn Loring)
Halal Guys is a restaurant in Merrifield but has other locations over NoVa. that serves typical halal food with chicken and beef gyros or, you can get a platter. The meat is placed on a tall vertical rotisserie, which turns slowly in front of a source of heat. The taste in their meats, refreshing lettuce, and tomatoes create a wonderful combination of flavors. The best part is the hot sauce and garlic sauce to really emphasize the whole meal. “I enjoy Halal Guys because of the memories associated with it and the enjoyment it gives me. It is fun to reminisce on the times when my friends would bring me there after practice and all the times it actually got me full,” said Jax Steider (11). 

Pupusas Express (Annandale)
Pupusas express is a restaurant in Annandale that serves Salvadorian traditional food. Here, you can get pupusas, burritos, mar y tierra, quesadillas, atol de elote, and so much more. Their extensive menu offers new options to try each time you go back so that you won’t get tired of the same thing each time. “I love the burritos at pupusas express because they leave me very full and satisfied with my meal. They also have an array of different options to choose from which I find great,” said Kayla Keefe (10)

 China Kitchen (Tysons)
China Kitchen is a small restaurant and while yes, it may be far, it is well worth it. Located in the food court in Tysons Corner when you get there you are greeted with welcoming smiles and even more welcoming food. If you enjoy Chinese food then this is the place for you. They serve platters where you can get a base of rice or lo mein noodles and up to three sides to go with it. 

Celebrity Deli (Falls Church)
Celebrity Deli is a restaurant that mostly has sandwiches. If you are looking for a large lunch packed with goodness, then look no further. Their large variety of subs and sandwiches that they sell are great but the sizes are greater. Being notorious for having large subs, Celebrity Deli is a good alternative to Subway. “Celebrity Deli is my favorite restaurant because of the amazing food, welcoming aesthetic, and pop culture decorations. Each sandwich there is amazingly crafted with fresh ingredients, and tasted amazing. My favorite decorations is their “banned words list” where overrated pop culture media is listed,”said James Schall (10)

Breeze Bakery Cafe

Breeze Bakery Cafe is a great place to grab breakfast in the morning if you need something on the fly, a sandwich for lunch, or just a regular coffee. Breeze Bakery Cafe offers a large selection of different unique pastries from chocolate donuts to pastries oozing with sugary frosting. If you aren’t looking for something confectionate, they sell sandwiches as well, for example, chicken pesto, roast beef, and turkey. You can buy soups, salads, and cakes all for a reasonable price and quality food. I would highly recommend Breeze Bakery Cafe because it is a great place to stop and take time out of your day to enjoy the atmosphere in this restaurant.
