Golf
The Golf team had an outstanding season, marked by strong performances of skill and teamwork. The team consistently competed at a high level, earning Meg Lagera a spot on the Second Team All-District and Conner Elling a spot on the Honorable Mention All-District team. The accomplishments of the team this season show how dedicated they are to each other and how much they have improved as athletes.
Field Hockey
The field hockey team had an incredible season, showcasing their dedication and effort with an impressive 5-3 record. The team was packed with talent, which was clear from the awards won by various players: Maddie Alexander and Betty Schlageter-Prettyman were selected for the First Team All-District, while Ella Wallinger, Taryn Heuvelman, and Megean Alvino made it to the Second Team All-District. Lastly, Whitney McLellan was acknowledged by making the Honorable Mention team.
Cheerleading
The cheerleading team had an amazing season, shining both during games and in competitions. Their dedication and effort really showed, as they brought excitement and enthusiasm to every event. A highlight for the team was when Katie Ferris, Lucy Boyd, and Jessica Pham were selected for the First Team All-District, which was a well-earned acknowledgment of their exceptional performances. Additionally, Ava Rodriguez was selected for the Honorable Mention All-District team. These accomplishments truly reflect teamwork and commitment.
Girls Cross Country
The girls cross country team had an exceptional season, with several runners achieving remarkable success. Isabella Phillips, Cybil Jayson, and Natia Shutov all earned spots on the First Team All-District. Their amazing performances really pushed them to new heights, and their leadership motivated everyone around them. After a solid season, the girls’ cross country team has shown that they are a serious contender in the district.
Boys Cross Country
The boys cross country team showcased remarkable talent and determination this season. Aidan Ragsdale and Trey Gagermeier earned well-deserved spots on the First Team All-District. Aiden Musgrove also secured a spot on the Second Team All-District and Jeremy Scott and Tyler Heironimus were both recognized with Honorable Mention All-District honors. The team’s achievements this season not only highlight their personal victories but also the power of their teamwork and dedication to their sport.
Football
Our very own football team had an exhilarating season, led by a new yet familiar coach, Personal Fitness teacher Tim Coogan, who received the Coach of the Year award. Finishing with a 3-4 record in the district and placing fourth, the team demonstrated great determination. One of the standout moments was the thrilling homecoming game, where the Jaguars emerged victorious with a down to the wire touchdown by Christopher DeWolfe, and keeping the bell from the Justice Wolves in the Bell Game. “My most memorable game was the Edison game because it taught me that we are a very capable and skilled team that would’ve made it to the playoffs but it just came down to small metal mistakes throughout the game,” said captain Edwerd Boakye (12). The team’s accomplishments were further emphasized by exceptional players, such as Sam Dresser, Steven Iriarte, Tyreke Euell, and Edwerd Boakye who were recognized with First Team All-District honors.
Girls Volleyball
Back to back district champions, our very own girls varsity volleyball team had an astonishing season. Not only did they win their second straight district championship, but they also made it to the second round of regionals. With many packed bleachers and crowded gyms, their incredible performance earned them the first seed in the district ranking. “Having a big audience watching and cheering makes the environment so much more exciting and makes you want to perform your best,” said captain Nalani Applehans(11). The team displayed incredible commitment throughout the year, receiving several awards such as naming Belinda Kim as Coach of the Year, Eliana Tamayo as Player of the Year, and Adele Riedel as Libero of the Year. Their dedication and teamwork brought them success in matches with the motto “All in all together.”
Boys Volleyball
The boys volleyball team had an astounding first season as a varsity sport, after transitioning from a club team. Finishing with a record of 7-8, they showed great talent and determination all season long. Four players stood out and received Honorable Mention honors: Dexter Tran, Lucas Riedel, Elijah Holston, and Kevin Le. Their commitment and effort really pushed the team forward, making this year as a varsity program a thrilling experience.
