The Jubilance of Thanksgiving
December 14, 2017
When the leaves descend
And the soft wind brushes your skin
We know it is that time of year
Again
The time of love, thankfulness, and holiday cheer
A holiday we celebrate every year
Thanksgiving
The day of giving thanks
With the blessings of love
And a plethora of food on our plates
Sadness becomes a martyr to the day so full of joy
When we share what we are thankful for
Being in despair becomes a chore
With the feelings of love and gratitude so imminent
We wish the day was permanent
Gaining love lacking deceit
This is what it should be
Even though we complain everyday
Be sure to give thanks on this gracious filled holiday
When the leaves descend
And the soft wind brushes your skin
We know it is that time of year
Again
The time of love, thankfulness, and holiday cheer
A holiday we celebrate every year
So show your thanks
Don’t be a fool
Because next Thanksgiving is not promised
So don’t be dull
