The School Year In Review, According to Students

Leo Veizaga, Staff Writer

With the 2017-18 school year ending in just a few weeks, students are scrambling to finish up whatever needs to be done in any of their classes, from simple classwork assignments to tests to projects. Whether you like it or not, the end of the year is looming over Falls Church High School.
However, some students here at Falls Church have taken some time to talk about what the school year has been like for them, and what they expect the next school year to be like. With that in mind, here’s what a few students had to say about how this school

year went for them.
Evan Foster (9) says, “This school year was filled with new experiences for me, and I hope that next year can be more if not equally exciting. I learned a lot from my teachers as well as my fellow classmates, and there’s nothing more I can say other than I hope for the best next year!”
Gabriele Clay (10) agrees. She says, “It was a pretty good vibe all around. Falls Church is a family-based school, which makes the inclusiveness feel really welcoming, especially when it comes to the people in your social circle. I hope we all get to feel that same vibe next year, as this year was very fun for me and my classmates.”
It was definitely a memorable year, says Micaela Gray (11). “This year was certainly one that I won’t forget for a while. My junior year has gone by so fast, and I appreciate all of the support that I have gotten from my teachers and friends this year. With everything that’s happened this year, I can only hope that next year will be more if not equally exciting as this year was. All in all, it’s been fun, and I can’t wait to be a senior next year!”
Roberto Argueta (12) speaks for a lot of seniors, when he says that the year was action-packed. “In all honesty, I really did have a good time this year. Seeing as this is my final year in high school, everything just went by so fast that I almost lost track of time. Though I am a little bummed that my high school days are coming to a close, I’ll cherish the memories that I’ve made with everyone that I’ve built relationships with along the way. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me after high school.”
As you can see, these students are very happy with the way things turned out for them this year. Here’s hoping that your year was as successful as theirs, and that next year ends up turning out even better!
