Homecoming has arrived and is being called the “Best homecoming yet.” On Friday, October 16 at 5:30, the school parade kicks off at the back of the school and ends at the tailgate celebration by the stadium. From there, we’re going to have a tailgate: food, music, and games on the outdoor basketball courts. We will be playing Thomas Jefferson High School on our home field and tons of awesome halftime activities. As well as watching the game, the halftime show will host events such as, homecoming court, the marching band, and will feature a float. The homecoming dance will go on from 8 to 11:30 p.m. on Saturday October 17.

Leadership is hoping to generate a lot of enthusiasm for this upcoming event.  “It will be the best homecoming yet, a lot work is still being put in,” said an anonymous Leadership student.  Seniors generally are happy for what’s coming because it seems like it will be a whole lot of fun.  The event is not only for seniors—underclassmen should not miss homecoming week activities, because there is something for every student. Be involved in the activities and most importantly, have fun with your friends.

Even the newest Falls Church students are eager to participate. Freshman Mohammed Faisal said, “It seems like it will be a lot of fun. I am really excited for the dance and I hope it exceeds my high expectations.”

Expectations are high and it will not disappoint. You shouldn’t miss out, everyone is welcome so join and make the best of things. Missing out is bad decision—it’s going to be a lot fun and coming along will make it that much better. I encourage all classes all show up; don’t just sit back and do nothing. Put yourself out there, be involved, and you might even make new friends. The wait is unbearable, this homecoming seems like it will be best yet.
