Thankful Thanksgiving Break!

What are you thankful for? Students are most likely thankful for Thanksgiving Break, because it leads us into Winter Break. There are many activities that students do with their families during Thanksgiving Break, such as having a Thanksgiving Dinner and Black Friday Shopping. For my Thanksgiving Break, my family and I did various activities, such as inviting family over and watching movies while eating mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and more!

Although there are many reasons why to be thankful, I’m very thankful that I have a great education. I’m thankful for this because not many people got the opportunity, or have the opportunity to have an education like I do. I’m also thankful for having my family around me all the time because I learn a lot every day because of them. Lastly, I am thankful for having friends that I can depend on. They also teach me a lot and I’m very lucky to have that!

I’m thankful for a lot, but I wondered what others in the school were thankful for, so I asked my close friend. Kylie Dodds (9)  said “I’m thankful for the amount of random acts of kindness in the world because they help me remember that even with everything going on in the world there’s still kind people.” She also said “I’m also thankful for all of the amazing and kind friends I have that always support and care about me.”

Overall, Thanksgiving Break is a time for reflection for all we have in life, and it’s a time to show acts of kindness for not only others, but for family and friends as well!
