Wizards look to prevail against Hawks

Tonight the Washington Wizards will face the Atlanta Hawks, with the winner of Game 5 breaking the 2-2 tie in the series. The 4th seeded Wizards started off strong by beating the Hawks in Game One by 7 points and in Game Two by 8. But then losing the next two games by 18 in Game 3 and 10 in Game Four tying the series at two games to two. Fawaz Omar (9) says “I think the Wizards will win today because of the home court advantage. If you look at the games won both teams have only won at home, with being the higher seed the Wizards will get four games at home hopefully leading to 4-3 series win. Also with the great squad the Wizards have I believe that they have a chance on making it to the finals.”

So far John Wall and Bradley Beal have really carried the Wizards so far through the Eastern Conference Finals with Wall averaging 28.8 points and 10 assists and Beal has averaged 24.3 points and 2 steals. Besides that the Wizards need to “Step up” according to Stephen A. Smith. With the 3rd leading scorer being Markieff Morris with 10.5 points. For the first four games of the series the Wizards had averaged 105.5 points per game and Wall and Beal have averaged about 50 percent of the points. Marcin Gortat has had a very good series averaging 11.8 rebounds and 2.8 blocks but so far he has averaged 8 points, a slight decrease in his scoring while during the regular season he averaged about 10 points. The starters have done well so far against the Hawks but the bench players have had trouble defending the Hawks and the bench.

After the Win against the Hawks, Paul Millsap commented “The difference in the game was we were playing basketball and they were playing MMA” After the Wizards lost to the Hawks Markieff Morris said this about Paul Millsap “Me, as a man, you take your wins with your losses. I take my wins with my losses all the time. He just did more for his team. He’s a crybaby. You get all the calls when you’re a crybaby. That’s how I look at it.”
