On June 1st the NBA finals will tip-off. The long awaited match-up between the two juggernauts, the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers,  will be back for a third time in a row. In the first finals match-up, the Warriors came out on top. Last year however, it looked like the Warriors were going to win the series, until they blew a 3-1 lead.

The Cavaliers and Warriors are both considered to be the best teams by far in their respective conferences. Both teams showed just how dominant they were by crushing their competition en route the their third finals appearance in a row. In the West, the Warriors swept every team they faced including a very strong Spurs team. In the East, the Cavs won every game except a nail bitter against the Celtics.

Both teams are very similar from last year, but some key players could cause a different outcome. The Warriors added a huge free agent in Kevin Durant. With the addition of Durant the starting lineup for the Warriors has 3 all NBA players in Draymond Green, Stephen Curry and Durant. In addition Klay Thompson was a major snub left of an all NBA team.

The Cavs boast an equally powerful team with their big three of Lebron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love. The big 3 has been putting up huge numbers this postseason such as a 89 and an 93 point outing. The Cavs also have a deep bench with players like Kyle Korver and Deron Williams.

The two teams now have been going head to head competitively for a while now. All though some players such as Lebron James says their is no rivalry. Most fans and other players like Draymond Green say that their is definitely a big rivalry. The rivalry between these two powerhouses is set up to be one of the most entertaining and competitive series of the ages.
