Falls Church’s Bachelor of the Month: Marcus Lourenço

Leonel Veizaga, Staff Writer

This month’s bachelor is none other than a good friend of mine: Marcus Lourenço (10)! I had the opportunity to sit down with Marcus and talk to him about his hobbies, what type of girl he’s into, and his turn-offs, among other things. Be sure to pay attention, Jags, because Marcus has a few things to say when it comes to being Bachelor of the Month!
What’s your full name and age?
My full name is Marcus Lourenço, and I’m 16 years old. Not much else to say about that.
Do you have any hobbies?
I do, actually! I enjoy playing video games competitively, along with playing the cello, and playing soccer with my friends and family.
What is your ideal type of girl?
I’m into women who do well in school, get good grades and know what they’re aiming forth upon in the future. I’m into women who are kind to others, who understand when something goes wrong and try to help whoever’s in need, and women who are active.
Do you have any turn-offs?
Yes. If a girl doesn’t respect the friends I hang out with, the things I do, and if she is somewhat mean to anyone in general, along with lying about others, then she wouldn’t be someone I’d want to be in a relationship with. Do you have any ideas for your ideal first date?
I’d want to take my date out to a movie, and afterwards I’d take her to dine out at a place like Noodles & Company.
What are some things that you would want you and your girlfriend to have in common?
Well, for one, she’d have to play an instrument, or competitive video games, and pretty much any sport. If she plays soccer, I’d be more than happy!
Do you have any favorite restaurants or foods that you enjoy?
Admittedly, I enjoy eating every kind of food, but I do enjoy sushi, chicken noodle soup, Chipotle and Panera Bread.
Do you have any future goals that you wish to accomplish?
Indeed I do. I plan on going to college, specifically a musical or architectural college. I’ll probably study abroad in Denmark, mostly because I’m bilingual, so that I can get a free and fulfilling education.
Well, you heard it here first, Jags! Marcus is a kind, caring, logical and self-determined individual who, if given the chance, could make a very special someone happy, whether it be a game of soccer, competitive gaming, or simply a nice night at the local theater.

Marcus Lorenço is an easy-going guy who would love to get to know you!
