Rancorous Presidential Debate Frustrates Students

After 90 straight minutes of name calling, incessant interruptions, and blatant falsehoods, last night’s presidential debate between President Donald Trump and former vice president Joe Biden left many Jaguar students feeling exasperated. “It was a dumpster fire in a wildfire,” said Jason Phan (12).

Presidential debates are designed to help voters make up their minds, but many saw last night’s spectacle as entirely unproductive. “They kept talking over each other,” said Christine Duong (12). “I’m embarrassed for the both of them.”

But with all of the upheaval that has shaped this election, even last night’s unprecedented levels of vitriol failed to shake some students. “Nothing that I didn’t expect,” said Jack Kearney (11).
