Science Welcomes New Faculty

Ms. Crawley and Mr. Rezac are the new Science teachers this year. I had the opportunity to interview them, so the Jaguar community can get to know them better.
Ms. Crawley
When did you decide to become a teacher? I officially decided to become a teacher in junior year, in college.
Is there any other subject you enjoy more than Science? History.
What motivates you as a teacher? My students.
Is this your first year teaching or did you teach somewhere previously? This is my first official year teaching.
Did you want this career as a kid? At one point. I wanted to be a pediatrician, lawyer, and a teacher. So, at one point. Yes.
Where did you go to college and what did you study? I went to George Mason University and I studied Chemistry.
What inspired you to become a teacher? It sounds cheesy, but working with kids.
Mr. Rezac
When did you decide to become a teacher? After working in a rock/soils lab as a manager I decided I liked best as teaching so I decided to go for it.
What inspired you to become a teacher? It was the idea that I could work to help people better themselves.
Is there any other subject that you enjoy more than Science? No, but I am passionate about human rights issues.
What motivates you as a teacher? The students motivate me.
Is this your first year teaching, or did you teach somewhere previously? I taught for two years prior to coming here.
Did you want this career as a kid? No, I did not want to be a teacher as a kid.
Where did you go to college and what did you study? I went to college at the University of South Dakota and studied geology.
