Two time Oscar winner and start of the hit Netflix series House of Cards Kevin Spacey has entered treatment as a result of multiple men accusing him of sexual harassment over the last couple of days.

Spacey was first accused of sexual misconduct by Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp earlier this week, who said that Spacey attempted to seduce him while he was 14 years old in 1986 while both of them were working on a play at the Old Vic theater in London, England. Spacey, who says that he has no memory of it as he thinks that he was possibly intoxicated during the incident, apologized to Rapp on Twitter and used the opportunity to reveal that he lives his life as a gay man, a remark that has gained backlash as critics are saying that he said that

Spacey, best known for starting in popular movies such as American Beauty and the Usual Suspects, has seen the negative effects of the claims as House of Cards has been cancelled, leaving the filming of season 6 currently in limbo, He also had his 2017 International Emmy Founders Award taken. These allegations have been similar with other important Hollywood individuals ever since The New York Times ran an article on October 5th, denouncing acclaimed film producer and co-founder of Miramax Harvey Weinstein as sexually harassing and paying eight settlements to actresses and female Miramax and Weinstein Company production assistants, temps, and other employees.

The apology he posted on Twitter included the message “I have had relationships with both men and women. I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life, and I choose now to live as a gay man.” Many people were outraged as a result of Spacey using this as a way to deflect attention off of his claims and as a way to excuse his alleged actions while attempting to make a connection between homosexuality and pedophilia.

Spacey has since attempted to seek treatment along with Weinstein at a $37,000-a-month sex addiction rehab center and his publicist and talent agency have cut ties with the actor as a result of the allegations.
